About the Author
April Henry is the author of many acclaimed mysteries and thrillers for adults and young adults. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and daughter. Her previous jobs include German translator, cook, housekeeper, hospital admitting clerk, life drawing model and a brief stint as the girl who jumps out of a cake. When she was 12, she sent a short story about a six-foot tall frog who loved peanut butter to Roald Dahl. He took it to lunch and showed it to the editor of an international children's magazine - and she asked to publish the story! However, her dream of writing went dormant until she was in her 30s, working at a corporate job, and started writing books on the side.
